Eligibility Criteria for Assam Special TET 2026

Candidates must be permanent residents of Assam.

For Lower Primary (LP) – Paper I

  • Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks + 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) OR
  • Senior Secondary with 50% marks + 4-year B.El.Ed OR
  • Senior Secondary with 50% marks + 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) OR
  • Graduation + 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education

For Upper Primary (UP) – Paper II

  • Graduation + 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education OR
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks + B.Ed OR
  • Post Graduation with at least 55% marks + 3-year integrated B.Ed-M.Ed OR
  • Senior Secondary with 50% marks + 4-year B.El.Ed or B.A/B.Sc.Ed

Relaxations:

  • Up to 5% relaxation in qualifying marks for SC/ST/OBC/MOBC/PWD (minimum 40% disability).
  • No minimum marks in Graduation for those admitted to B.Ed before 29th July 2011.
